Hello fellow Gluemeaties! Look at me! Back from a full week’s disappearance!

If you read the Glueboard over there on the upper left, you probably know that I was on the outs and sick after an intervention in hospital late last Sunday evening. Thankfully, it didn’t have anything to do with my notorious back issues (which I’m thankful for), but now it seems that I am a full-blown, clinically proven asthmatic. I’ve been equipped with all sorts of inhalers and stuff, all designed to keep me breathing as best I can. So I decided to take the week off and get my lungs fully rehabilitated, especially since I was playing single parent for the whole week, as my girlfriend was gone to visit family in Calgary. Hopefully, you will all forgive me.

One of the good things about last week is that I sat my six year old son Mathias in front of Adobe Illustrator last week and taught him the ropes. He’s been playing around with it, doing all sorts of vector art characters and enjoying himself a great deal. He recently revealed to me that he wanted to be a “drawer” when he grows up, so I immediately took to teaching him whatever basic skills I have, but only after informing him that his occupation’s name did not imply people putting their socks and undies in him.

So on Sunday, Mathias sat himself in front of the iMac and told me he wanted to do an internet comic. I, of course, discouraged him and insisted he not follow in my footsteps, lest he become a bitter and close-minded individual like BoxJam me. But he pressed on, and having absolutely no free will of my own to speak of, I guided him through the steps of the creation of his very own internet comic.

Thus, this Wednesday, you lucky Gluemeat readers will be treated to my son’s very first internet comic which he designed and scripted all by himself. Once you see how well a child can do it, every webcomic on the face of the net will lose all credibility. Except mine, of course, because, you know, I’m important.

Till Wednesday!

Look at Orange’s expression in each of the panels. I don’t think he’s even listening anymore.

This is something that I feel should be added to the FAQ:

Is Blue’s mouth a waning or waxing crescent?
