Captain Slick Rescues A Cat
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2005
I’m very excited to announce that Gluemeat was selected as coolstop’s Pick of the Day for February 1st! Wow! For a site which has given itself the mission to “provide fresh pointers to the non-commercial, creative side of the web. With an eye out for honest personal expression, excellence in web design, and original creative content, coolstop recognizes another great site every day,” I’ll admit to being a little more than flattered. Many thanks to the coolstop staff for selecting my little waste of HTML and a big hearty welcome to all coolstop readers!
What a way to kick off February, which is already the best month of the year! Why is is the best month of the year? Because it is the month of my birthday! Believe it or not, on February 19, I am going to be turning 31 years old and all the more idiotic for it. But the real reason I’m mentioning this to you at this point, fellow Gluemeaties, is to remind you of my LOVE FOR RECEIVING BIRTHDAY CARDS. I agree, there is a certain amount of tackiness related to birthday cards, but I can’t help it. There’s nothing more fun than coming home after a long day’s work, opening up the mailbox, and seeing birthday cards in there.
I don’t ask you Gluemeaties to donate money, to buy me stuff, to pick out items from my Amazon wish list (which I don’t have) because that’s not why I do the comic. But, if there was ever a moment you wanted to show me you enjoy Gluemeat a great deal, this would be it. Just grab a birthday card or make your own and send it to:
3900 Chevalier Street
Québec City, Qc
G1P1M8
CANADA
If you do so, Mister Yorke will be ever so happy. You all want me to be happy right? Right.
Big news on what I have planned for the 500th comic, coming up soon… enjoy today’s Captain Slick!
