Waitasecond, it can be infered from panel three that blue guy believes the moth to be immortal, yet in the very next panel, he is worried about his death. So, what I’m wondering is, what’s a cornmeal sandwich? Sandwiches in general are of great interest to me, and I simply must have this recipe.

No, he’s implying only that the moth isn’t a “mere mortal,” i.e., of normal strengths and powers. The distinction he’s drawing is between normalcy and specialness; think “meta-humans” or “mutants.”

Even if he were implying that the moth were “immortal,” immortal does not mean “invulnerable”; it only means not having a life expectancy, imho.

(Arguing about fictional moth mortality is like running in the buffalo races; even if you win, you’re still a buffalo, and small children will kill you for 1/28 your carcass while travelling on the Oregon Trail.)
