Many special, special thanks must go out today to fellow Gluemeatie Dopefish for being at the source of today’s comic. See, these are the kinds of results that ensue from open discussion with me through the technological marvel that is instant messaging. Perhaps you, just like Dopefish, can too have your fifteen minutes of fame on Gluemeat.com!

Fifteen minutes? Who am I kidding, more like three and-a-half seconds.

Well folks, next Monday is the big, big start of the annual Gluemeat Christmas Holiday Humdrum. Need I remind you all that the Humdrum this year will be composed of ten, that is, TEN episodes that will appear five days a week for a full two weeks? Do you know what that means? That means that for two weeks Gluemeat will almost be like a normal comic! That means that I haven’t updated a comic five days a week in over four years! That means that this had better be good!

I really hope you’ll all drop by Monday and tell all your friends that if they ever waited for the perfect chance to jump aboard Gluemeat and get into the groove, this is the perfect time to do so. Spread the word like butter on a hot potato and allow the Humdrum to be a part of your Holiday tradition again this year, letting Orange, Blue and myself into your home. We’ll bring the cranberries. Well, Blue will. Orange is bringing ugly cupcakes and I’m bringing my repertoire of clever quips.

So did you remember to come to the site yesterday to see the Monkey Day comic? I sure hope you did make note of it, even if it did probably force you to break from your usual webcomic reading habits. Although I’m sure IT WAS WORTH IT. If you didn’t come around yesterday, well what are you waiting for, get on the dance floor, read the comic, then read it some more.

After all, it’s such a good warm-up for the Gluemeat Christmas Holiday Humdrum, which will start next week. It will be ten episodes long and will be updated five times a week. Think you can handle that, my dear Gluemeaties? I think you won’t have much of a choice, because I swear to you, you will never see Orange and Blue the same way again.

Fellow Gluemeaties, it is here! Monkey Day 2004! What tidings of great joy we must bequeath upon each other and our simian cousins, as we learn from each other, share with each other, and love with each other… well, um, that last part mostly happens in Singapore… um, I’m told… but what a perfect moment to bring back to the forefront one of Gluemeat lore’s most famous figures, the Turpentine Monkey, who originally appeared in the 2003 comic aptly entitled Turpentine.

Please visit the Monkey Day website and share with that cuddly Casey Sorrow your Monkey Day festivities, or your own little part in this soon-to-be worldwide celebration of epic proportions. Hello fellow Gluemeaties and welcome to the start of another week of your life.

First and foremost, it is Monkey Day tomorrow. Something tells me that quite a few of you are totally fed up of me talking about, but you just have one more day to bear with it all! And besides, you should be thankful for it, because it has given me the occasion of giving you four full days of comics this week! Now how special is that? How can any other event than Monkey Day can be worthy enough for me to break my age-old routine of thrice-weekly updates?

Well, Christmas, actually. For you see, fellow Gluemeaties, I announced last this year’s Gluemeat Holiday Humdrum would be big. And I shall deliver. For you see, starting next Monday, December 20, the annual Gluemeat Christmas Holiday Humdrum 3.5 will be coming to you five days a week for two weeks. Yes, five days a week. Five. Days. A week. I have taken the precaution to have everything ready so in the event of another tragic Xmas mishap, my succession will be able to post the comics to the web site and you will be able to enjoy the entire Humdrum this year, just as if I were still alive. So get excited, tell your friends, and post it on websites everywhere! We shall dominate the earth!

Speaking of Christmas, I know that a lot of you would like to add me to their gift-giving list, but are afraid to do so, considering my distinctly exquisite and hard-to-please palate. Well, let me tell you that nothing says “Merry Christmas” like airbrushed wilderness animals on a T-shirt:

The $25 price tag may seem a little steep for a T-shirt to some, but it’s a small price to pay for good taste.

I read this article on the situation with AIM accounts and what AOL is doing to fix the situation. They said a fix might be on the move for Monday, but there’s no mention in the article as to whether or not the old accounts will be unlocked. Well, I stopped holding my breath and went right ahead and created a new AIM account: Moko No Swallow. If you were on my old Hell Eats Cheese account, I don’t have access to my old buddy list, so please add me to your lists again. And if I wasn’t already on your list, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??!?

And remember, next week, we’re going to be treated to FOUR DAYS of Gluemeat thanks to Monkey Day!

And a hearty hello to you all, fellow Gluemeaties! It’s a blustery, snowy day here in Quebec City, but nor rain nor snow nor sleet shall prevent me from accomplishing the task of delivering unto you today’s edition of Always Sparkle.

Speaking of which, this edition of Always Sparkle will be the last one of 2004. It will return with the new year, so savour this one and feel free to speculate on the rest of series. Or not.

By the way, before I go on, it seems that AOL has suspended my AIM account for some unknown reason. I’m trying to see if I can get re-activated, and if anyone has any clues as how to go about doing it, please write me an email or drop me a line on MSN Messenger (gluemeat@hotmail.com) or Yahoo! Messenger (gluemeat@yahoo.com). I’ll keep your posted on further developments.

Next week is Monkey Day! Hooray! In honour of this significant occasion, I am pleased to announce that there will be four, that’s right, count ‘em, FOUR editions of Gluemeat next week. Yes, since Monkey Day falls on a Tuesday this year, my comic contribution to Casey Sorrow’s humanitarian effort will appear on Monkey Day itself. So make sure to wear a shirt next Tuesday, because it will be an extra-special occasion. Unless you really like browsing the Internet bare-chested. Or if you’re a girl. I like to think girls visit this site bare-chested…

Anyhoo, I am getting set for the all-new edition of the Gluemeat Christmas Holiday Humdrum. We all know what happened last year, which thus left the third Humdrum incomplete. I debated with myself as to whether or not I should conclude it, but it felt too much of a cop-out; that and I think it might bring me bad luck again this year. Thus, you will all get to savour an all-new special this year as I propose the Gluemeat Christmas Holiday Humdum 3.5! I’m finishing up the writing details, but let me tell you this: it will be just as big in scale as the Signs series. Ooh la-la! Excited? You should! Or you should at least be bare chested!

Sorry about the delay, everyone. Turns out my back decided to act up for the first time in about six months.

I got home from work feeling stiff on Thursday, nothing out of the ordinary. So I just sat and took it easy. I ven went to bed really early, as I figured it would help release whatever stress was on my back, figuring I’d do the update before going to work. But I ended up having a very troubled night’s sleep and ended up at the hospital’s emergency ward, the pain becoming more and more unbearable with every passing minute. So I spend most of the day back on painkillers and feeling both sleepy and terribly funny at once. But now all is back to some sort of normalcy. I just hope it doesn’t mean that my back is relapsing on me.

So, once again, sorry about the delay and have a great weekend!
