And, every year, one of my aunts gets to eat the bundoon. It used to be my grandfather who had that auspicious honour, but she inherited the right to the bundoon with his passing (no, I'm not kidding). Despite that, the bundoon, in my family, is seen as a treat, kind of like the neck. I was always pretty certain that the term "bundoon" wasn't the exact word for that specific body part of the bird, but it always sounded funny to me.
