Ah, the weekend. The holy grail of the week. Only easier to find. But you don’t have to look for it, per se, since it comes every week. It’s inevitable-like. So I guess my simile isn’t all that good. I apologise. I made it with nothing but the best intentions.

The appearance of Blue Guy’s arms seem to have a shock and awe effect on some readers, who stare with bewilderment when one of his appendages bursts into scene, allowing good old Blue the chance to manipulate objects, convey emotions, and perhaps, even in the future, get a tattoo. I feel the time has come to add a section to the Gluemeat FAQ concerning Blue’s arms. Any takers?

I expertimented with TV Turnoff Week again this year, and once again it has proven to be a very insightful time. The tube being off and stuff sure forces you to find alternatives, and they aren’t all that difficult to find, really. Among other things, I started and finished reading the DaVinci Code, not to mention writing for Gluemeat, maintaining Tasteful Future, as well as for numerous other projects of mine. I also spent very awesome time with my son who discovered the fun of going to the library this week. If anything, I felt useful last week. Three days into the new, TV turn-on return to normalcy, and I don’t feel the need to watch moving pictures on network television.

I’ve been a little lax on my maintenance of the Aren’t We Real section of the site, but I promise that I will return to what I originally promised, and that is to put the old comics on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Hopefully with annotations. Anyway, I will update a new one today as well, and put another one on Thursday, so everything will be cool. Cool? Cool.

And by the way, my pal Goatboy over at Full Of Monkey did a groovy twenty-four hour comic book drawing experiment, and he posted the results on his website. Go take a look-see. It’s VERY awesome. You’ll be impressed.

And the new Making Fiends is up on the web. It was well worth the wait.

Okay, so things have been really busy around here recently, which is good. A few non-Gluemeat related side projects I’ve been working on are slowly coming to fruition, so I’ll keep you posted on what develops, if developments there are to speak of.

I’m happy about the reaction I had for No Time Like Scent. I’m glad I got around to doing it, especially since it’s something that germinated in my mind while I was still convalescing back in January. So actually doing it and recieving good feedback was really cool, and kind of gives my whole back issue a sense of purpose. But honestly, I showed the end product to my girlfriend (who helped out with the directing) and she’s convinced I’ve lost my mind. Or at the very least, that I’m gently slipping away. Oh well, I guess my madness is your gain, fellow Gluemeaties! So yeah, there will be more No Time Like Scent vids down soon. Bandwith permitting.

However, the biggest news is the fact that my provider is upgrading his servers, which will make the site ROCK EVEN MORE! The actual transfer is going to happen over the weekend, Saturday to be more precise. So don’t be surprised if there is a bit of downtime. The whole thing should be rather seamless, but you never know. In any extent, everything will be tip-top shape for Monday.

Okay, so today’s Gluemeat isn’t really a comic. I figure the more I go on, the more Gluemeat will take the shape of stuff I want to do. And No Time Like Scent felt like fun to do, not to mention that it was indeed fun. Hope you all enjoy it, because I’d really feel like doing more. Consider it my little contribution to kick off TV Turnoff Week and help you keep visiually entertained without having to be subjected to corporate shilling and government spin.

I hope you will join in the effort and attempt the experience with countless other people across the West. Even if you do it for a couple of days and can’t keep up, I’ll at least give you the credit for trying. Effort is the answer here. If there is no attempt, there is no result.
