Gluemeat

Here it is folks. The first day of the rest of the existence of this comic. And yes, if there was any way for me to be anymore cliché, I probably would have tried, but I don’t want to risk making your eyes bleed.

YEAH! GLUEMEAT’S BACK, BABY! Oh, wait, did I say the word “back?” That’s a no-no from now on.

I’d like to thank everyone who supported me and gave me their thoughts throughout everything that happened. No matter who you are or what you wrote, just dropping a line did the world of good and made me all the more anxious to get back in the saddle of comickilicking. And as much as your emails and discussion board posts motivated me even more, so did reading various webcomics. Reading some of my favourites from the links list always got the juices flowing, reminding me just how much fun doing comics are, but I have to admit that it was the time I took to read Achewood that finally convinced me that I was missing out and that I still could contribute something fun to the web. Even if Achewood and Gluemeat are very different, the spirit of the comic throttled me to push through the entire archives and turned me into a regular reader. It really reminded me how much fun making a comic can be, how much spirit a comic can have, and has given me a new vision to try and rise Gluemeat to. I don’t have the pretentiousness of thinking that I can be as good as Chris Onstad can be, but I can hopefully continue to give the adventures of Blue, Orange, Safetypin and the others some kind of spirit that will make you feel that there is something to this after all.

Right, now, since we’re going to be bac… I mean, returning to the three-day schedule for Gluemeat, Aren’t We Real will be restored to its twice-a-week schedule. So why don’t we get to it then? Let’s get some nice-on’s going and run head first into the rebirth of Gluemeat with the force of a thousand Gilles!
